Santo Domingo based SKYhigh Dominicana plans new routes to United States from Santiago de Los Caballeros and Punta Cana.
The airline has a fleet of 6 aircraft comprising of 1 Embraer ERJ145, 4 Embraer E190 and 1 Boeing 737 Freighter.
SKYhigh Dominicana plans new routes
The Dominican Republic based airline is planning to add flights to 2 more destinations from winter season. The airline will reintroduce flights from Santo Domingo to Santiago de Los Caballeros and Punta Cana.
Commercial Director of SKYhigh Dominicana Cesarina Beauchamp said :
“We are excited to announce five new routes as part of our continued expansion plan. Now we will operate from the Cibao International Airport and the Punta Cana International Airport. With this important addition, SKYhigh strives to further expand the possibilities for upgrading destinations and thus contribute to the development of the country”.
Direct flights will resume between Punta Cana and Miami International Airport. Cibao International Airport will have direct flights to Miami and Providence.
Lets summarize these 3 connections :
- Punta Cana to Miami
- Santiago de Los Cabarellos to Miami (Florida)
- Santiago de Los Cabarellos to Providence (Rhode Island)
All these services will be operated by the airline’s Embraer E190. The airline has a fleet of 4 Embraer E190s. Registration : HI1074, HI1090, P4-KCI and P4-KCK. These Embraer E190s are configured with 97 seats, consisting of 9 seats in Executive Class and 88 seats in Economy Class
Introduction of 2 new destinations
In August, SKYhigh Dominicana will add 2 more destinations :
- Valencia in Venezuela
- St. Croix in US Virgin Islands
With effect from August, the airline will connect Santo Domingo with both these cities.
The airline is awaiting delivery of its 5th Embraer E190. Soon after delivery, the aircraft will be used on this route. The 16 years old Embraer E190 Manufacturer Serial Number 19000105 is currently at Macon Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN). After delivery, the aircraft will have HI1091 as registration.
