One More Airline has established a direct connection between the cities of Shanghai and Fukuoka. This new airline connection improves travel within the region, provides passengers with more options and ensures a smooth journey between both the cities.
Shanghai Airlines : Shanghai to Fukuoka
On 28th December, Shanghai Airlines launched a new route connecting Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Fukuoka International Airport (FUK) in Japan. The airline will now operate thrice weekly flights between both these airports. Days of operations will be Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
On 28th December, the inaugural flight departed Shanghai Airport at 07:50 AM Local time and reached Fukuoka International Airport at 10:17 AM. After a halt of nearly 40 minutes, the Boeing 737 departed at 12:06 PM and returned to Shanghai Airport at 12:42 PM.

Shanghai Airlines is deploying Narrowbody Boeing 737-800NG aircraft on this route. Shanghai Airlines operates a fleet of 64 Boeing 737-800 jet with various configurations. For this route, the airline is using the Boeing 737 with 8 Business Class and 168 Economy Class Seats.
Being a prominent route between China and Japan, this route has a good competition. Apart from Shanghai Airlines, there are 3 other airlines operating flights on Shanghai to Fukuoka route.
These airlines are Air China, China Eastern Airlines and Spring Airlines. This route is more dominated by China Eastern Airlines which operated twice daily flights using the Airbus A320 aircraft. Apart from that, Air China operates five times weekly with the Airbus A321. Low Cost Carrier Spring Airlines operates 4 times weekly on this route utilising the Airbus A320 aircraft.
Shanghai Airlines is a fully owned subisidary of China Eastern Airlines. Hence, you can cross book flights as well, if needed. This provides greater flexibility in terms of timings since both airlines flies on different timings.
