Scoot Airlines will again restart the Athens to Berlin 5th freedom route, which it used to operate in 2021. Furthermore, Singapore International Airlines is planning to deploy its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner to Kathmandu.
Scoot reinstating Athens to Berlin route
If you look at the current route network of Scoot Airlines, you will find that Scoot is operating non-stop flights from Singapore International Airport to both Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (ATH) and Berlin Brandenburg International Airport (BER).
The airline operates 3 times weekly to Berlin and 4 times weekly to Athens Airport. It use the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner on this route, which features 18 Business class and 311 Economy class seats.
Here is a look at this network.
From end October or say with the start of the Winter Schedule, the airline will reinstate the 5th freedom route which it used to operate to operate in 2021. This fifth freedom route allows Scoot to tap the summer traffic between Greece and Athens.
With this, Berlin will lose the non-stop connection. In short, Singapore to Berlin flights will be operated via Athens. However, as per current bookings, the non-stop connection will return in the Summer Schedule starting 24 March, 2024.
