Indian cargo airline, Pradhaan Air Express is all set to get a strategic investor in form of Vaayu Group. Vaayu Group has a relationship with the airline since inception.
With strategic aviation businesses worldwide, the Vaayu Group has been in operation since 2011. Its headquarters are in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The Group has improved its standing in the global aviation sector over the last ten years by expanding and making investments in MRO services, aircraft interiors, training, leasing, and storage in the USA, UAE, and India.
Strategic investor
On the sidelines of Dubai Air Show, Pradhaan Air Express has signed an agreement with Vaayu Group. Vaayu Group wants to be a strategic investor in the airline. The airline has a fleet of single Airbus A320P2F. Vaayu Group leased this aircraft to Pradhaan Air Express. This is a historical aircraft as it is the first ever Airbus A320P2F. It is registered as VT-PNS & has been named Pehalwan meaning a stron body builder.

Vaayu Group showcased this aircraft in the recently concluded Dubai Air Show. The mission of Vaayu Group is to become a significant player in air cargo operations. It believes that this partnership can open more doors for Pradhaan Air Express in the Middle East region.
Fleet expansion plans
The airline currently has a fleet of only 1 Airbus A320P2F. By 2024, 2 more A320 freighters will join the fleet. After 2024, every year, 2 freighters will join the airline.

However, Chief Business Officer of Pradhaan Air Express in May said that the airline will have a fleet of 8 aircraft by 2028. This fleet will include Airbus A321P2F and Airbus A330P2F as well. If this comes true, the airline will be the only in India to start operations with widebody freighter aircraft.
Talking about this, CEO of Pradhaan Air Nipun Anand said : “We are happy that Vaayu has joined us since they bring with them a great record in the aviation industry. Their unwavering focus and priceless knowledge plans to enhance cargo capacity are encouraging for us. The impressive range of freighter aircraft offered by Airbus and will greatly enhance Pradhaan’s plans.”
