Belavia Airlines, the flag carrier of Belarus has launched direct flights between Minsk and Delhi from yesterday. This new European addition will enhance connectivity between both the countries.
Belavia Airlines : Minsk to Delhi
Yesterday, Belavia AIrlines has started a non-stop service between Capital cities of both Belarus and India. The flag carrier will now operate 1 flight every week between Minsk and Delhi to enhance connectivity and economic ties. The airline will currently operate this route only on Fridays. From September 20, it will be upgraded to 2X weekly with an additional flight on Wednesday.
The airline has deployed its sole Boeing 737 MAX 8 on this route. EW-528PA is the aircraft registration. Powered by CFM LEAP engines, the aircraft is 4.2 years old and was delivered to Belavia in April 2021. The aircraft has 12 Business class and 162 Economy class seats. The airline in a statement said that Belarus is located in the heart of Europe. There are so many tourist destinations including historical monuments, picturesque nature and cultural objects. To enter the country, Indian cities should have appropriate visas or multiple entry Schengen Visa.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 departs Minsk at 20:25 Hrs and reached Delhi Airport at 05:35 hrs. Then, after 1 hour and 20 minutes, the aircraft take off from Delhi at 06:55 hrs and reaches Minsk at 11:40 hrs. The flight duration is about 6 and half to 7 hours.
The airline is looking at the Indian market at a time, when both countries are looking to broaden their partnerships. IndiGo used to operate charter service to Minsk during the COVID 19 pandemic. As many charter routes are becoming scheduled, one can expect IndiGo to start scheduled services to Belarusian Capital.
