Air India has launched a new in-flight magazine named Namaste.AI which is available onboard all domestic and international flights from July 25.

TATA Group airline Air India has launched a new in flight magazine ‘Namaste.AI’ replacing the older ‘Shubh Yatra’ magazine.
The inaugural edition of this magazine ‘The Trailblazer ‘ covers the story of Father of Indian Aviation, Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata and as many call, JRD Tata. He was the first licensed pilot of India. In 1929, he received his pilot license. He was also the founder of TATA Airlines, which was later named as Air India.
July 29 is the birth anniversary and this magazine is a tribute to him. The magazine features airlines’ destinations, content like lifestyle, technology, culinary arts, culture and showbiz.
The magazine is available onboard all domestic and international flights from July 25 onwards.
A new Air India
On this new magazine, Air India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Campbell Wilson said that a new Air India is taking off and we are eager for your feedback as we make progress.
He added that the magazine name ‘Namaste.AI’ comes from the Indian greeting. India is known for its warm hospitality, diverse culture, geographies and people. Throught this magazine, the airline aims to give its passengers a glimpse of all that.
New cabin upgrade mechanism
Yesterday, Air India announced Upgrade+, which is its new cabin upgrade programme. The airline has abolished the old “Bid Upgrade” programme. With this, passengers can opt for cabin upgrade 72 hours to 12 hours before the flight on a fixed price.
