Low Cost Arm of TATA Group, Air India Express has announced two more connections from Ayodhya Airport. The airline will be connecting Ayodhya to Kolkata and Bengaluru. For more details, continue reading.
Air India Express : Ayodhya to Kolkata
Apart from daily operations between Ayodhya and Delhi, Air India Express has announced two more flight connections.
With effect from January 17, the airline will connect Ayodhya Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham (AYJ) with Kolkata Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU). Operations will start with thrice weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The airline will be deploying its new Boeing 737 MAX jets on this route.
Here is a brief look at the timing :
IX 764 : The Boeing 737 MAX departs Ayodhya Airport at 11:05 hrs and arrives at Kolkata Airport at 12:50 hrs
IX 765 : After a halt of 35 minutes, it departs Kolkata Airport at 13:25 hrs, arriving at Ayodhya Airport at 15:10 hrs.
Air India Express : Ayodhya to Bengaluru
One more prominent connection from Ayodhya Airport will start from January 17, when Air India Express will launch non-stop flights between Bengaluru Kempegowda International Airport and Ayodhya Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhyadham. Both Ayodhya to Kolkata and Bengaluru flights will be operated by same aircraft. The rotation will be as follows :
- Bengaluru to Ayodhya
- Ayodhya to Kolkata
- Kolkata to Ayodhya
- Ayodhya to Bengaluru
The airline will operate thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Here is a look at the timing of Air India Express flight between Bengaluru and Ayodhya.
IX 764 : The Boeing 737 MAX departs Bengaluru Airport at 08:05 hrs and arrives at Ayodhya Airport at 10:35 hrs. After this, it operates the Ayodhya to Kolkata and return leg.
IX 765 : After the Kolkata service, the aircraft remains on ground for 30 minutes. It departs from Ayodhya Airport at 15:40 hrs and arrives at Bengaluru Kempegowda Airport at 18:10 hrs.
Ayodhya Airport Inauguration
On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Civil Aviation General VK Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have inaugurated the auspicious airport. The airport currently has a capacity to handle 10 lakh passengers annually. After completion of Phase 2, it will be able to handle bigger widebody jets like Boeing 777 and Airbus A350.
IndiGo conducted the maiden landing. With more than 100 passengers onboard, the Airbus A320neo registered as VT-IQA landed at the Airport remarking a new destination for the airline. Following IndiGo landed the Boeing 737 MAX 8 of Air India Express registered as VT-BXB. Air India Express CEO Aloke Singh was onboard the aircraft.
